SERVICE GROUPS

SERVICE GROUP FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY

For over 20 years, A Taste of Colorado produced by the Downtown Denver Partnership has invited non-profit community and service groups to operate the beverage stands and ticket booths as a fundraising opportunity.

We have found this partnership to be very successful, with benefits for both the festival and the non-profit organizations. It’s a fun way for your group to raise funds in a friendly and fast-paced atmosphere!

If selected to participate in the fundraising program, your service group will receive a volunteer schedule for a beverage stand or ticket booth. Your service group will be responsible for filling the stand schedule for the entire festival weekend, Saturday, August 31st through Monday, Sept. 2, 2019.

The schedule is broken up into 3 to 4 hour shifts, with most stands having 3 to 5 shifts per day. Shifts can range from 2 to 10 volunteers, based on the crowds expected during those times. All volunteers must be at least 13 years of age in our non-alcoholic beverage stands and at least 16 years of age in our ticket booths, and at least 18 years of age in our alcohol stands. At the conclusion of the festival, A Taste of Colorado will make a donation to each service group (donations will be calculated based on how many total hours each service group volunteered).

A Taste of Colorado will provide a manager in each beverage booth to monitor inventory and work with the beverage distribution companies to maintain efficiency and quality control. In each ticket booth, A Taste of Colorado will provide a box office manager/paid cashier and a police officer to provide security and maintain efficiency and quality control. The basic goal for all booths will be to serve festival patrons efficiently with friendly customer service that reflects positively on both A Taste of Colorado and each service organization.

In order to be considered an eligible service organization, your group must be a Colorado non-profit or community service group and capable of providing enough volunteers to staff a booth for all four days of the festival. A Taste of Colorado reserves the right in its sole discretion to select or decline any organization for participation.

Service groups that participated in 2018 will have priority for their booth in 2019, assuming they are in good standing with the festival.
