I will be selling at the festival world class mineral and fossils collected from all over the USA and the world. My specialty is collecting fossil fish that I have dug from the Green River Formation located in Wyoming. I obtain permission from owners of private fish quarries to dig fossil fish which are dated from about 50 to 53 million years ago. I spend several days digging by hand to uncover the fossil beds, before I split the rock hoping to uncover fossil fish, leaves, insects, and other forms of life. I will trim up the piece to make it salable and I will describe the fossil name and other geologic information.
